Underwriting spotlight
As an FM Global underwriter, you'll be responsible for helping to develop complex insurance programmes and solutions to protect the value of the world's leading businesses.
Our underwriting is based on the realities of engineering, rather than actuarial predictions, so you work closely with engineers in your client service team to understand the nuances and complexities of individual clients and facilities. You then work within a team, and independently create an insurance programme that suits the client's individual needs and takes into account FM Global objectives and the existing and evolving market.
Among your daily duties could be line-setting, understanding reinsurance needs and placement, rating and pricing, analysis of coverage, terms and conditions, value analysis and certificates of insurance.
No two insurance contracts are the same, and each client has individual needs based on their individual risks. As part of FM Global's underwriting team, you are at the forefront of protecting the value of our client's businesses.
