Stefano Tranquillo

Stefano is vice president and operations manager of FM Global’s Northern Europe Operations based in Windsor, UK. In this position, Stefano is responsible for ensuring the profit and growth of business written and serviced from FM Global’s UK operations which include the Nordic countries, Ireland, Italy, Israel and South Africa as well as the UK. He is also responsible for overseeing the field engineering servicing of all FM Global-insured locations within the operations’ territory.» more
Prior to his appointment in 1999, Stefano served as UK client service manager for several years. His tenure with the company has sent Stefano around the world, including postings in Brazil, Italy and the UK. Since joining FM Global in 1984 as a loss prevention engineer based in London, Stefano has worked in a number of capacities, including engineering, underwriting and management.
Stefano received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at Imperial College in London, UK and holds the Associate of City and Guilds of London Institute (ACGI) certification.
Martin Fessey
Vice President - Market & Business Development

Martin is Vice President, Market and Business Development at FM Global’s EMEA / Asia Pacific offices in Windsor, UK. He is responsible for the company’s growth in its core markets and the continual development of new business in the UK and Europe.» more
Previous to his current assignment, Martin was Director, UK Operations at Arkwright International, a predecessor to FM Global. He returned to the UK from a four year assignment to the USA as an account executive, focusing on the risk management needs of UK-domiciled companies.
In his earlier career, Martin held several development and management positions in risk engineering, underwriting and marketing at Factory Mutual International in London and Singapore, which he joined as a trainee loss prevention engineer in 1979.
Martin is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), Member of the Institute of Risk Management (UK) and a Chartered Insurer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Nottingham University, UK.
Philip Johnson
Vice President – Client Service Manager
Northern Europe Operations
Philip is operations vice president and client service manager of FM Global’s Northern Europe Operations. His leadership role is to spearhead and manage FM Global’s underwriting, client service and client relationship efforts. Prior to his appointment in 2006, Philip served as assistant client service manager after making the transition from engineering management to underwriting. Since joining FM Global in 1995 as a loss prevention engineer based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Philip has enjoyed 15 years varied experience including engineering group manager and various engineering specialist roles progressing into underwriting management. This followed eight years of diverse and challenging project management and line management roles within the large scale civil engineering arena.
Philip is a Chartered Engineer and received a bachelor of engineering degree in civil engineering at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
Thomas Roche
Operations Vice President - Operations Engineering Manager

Tom is operations vice president, operations engineering manager for FM Global's Northern Europe Operations. Based in Windsor he is responsible for managing a team of engineers working across the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, southern Africa and the Middle East.» more
Prior to his current appointment, Tom served in a variety of engineering and engineering management roles across the UK. He has travelled extensively to support clients across the world to establish loss prevention policies and implement large risk improvement projects. He joined the organisation in 1993 as a field engineer based in the Manchester Office.
Tom holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical and electronics engineering from Lancaster University, Lancashire, England.
David Henderson
Operations Vice President - Operations Claims Manager
Northern Europe Operations
David is operations vice president, operations claims manager. Based in Windsor he is responsible for the management of claims for Northern Europe Operations' written accounts, as well as Affiliated FM London/Manchester accounts. Additionally, he manages loss adjustment activities within the Northern Europe Operations' geographical area.» more
Prior to his current appointment in 1999, David served as a loss adjustment manager and loss adjuster. He joined the organisation in 1982 as a loss prevention engineer.
A graduate of the University of Nottingham, David holds an honours bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Additionally, he is a Chartered Insurer, ACII. David is also an active member of the Claims Club, a U.K. claims manager organisation; and the British Insurance and Law Association.
